The 2010 Haiti earthquake resulted in a tragic loss of life, with estimates stating that over 350,000 people died. While there is no single comprehensive "death list" due to the magnitude of the disaster, our organization was founded to honor these victims by serving the survivors.
How did the 2010 earthquake impact Gonaïves?
While Port-au-Prince was the epicenter, Gonaïves became a critical refuge for thousands of displaced families. The influx of survivors required an immediate humanitarian response, which led to the founding of ORDEPROGRESIA.

ORDEPROGRESIA was founded in 2010, in the wake of the devastating earthquake that claimed over 350,000 lives. Amidst the rubble and heartbreak, we saw a need not just for relief, but for rebuilding a future.
In 2010, we officially registered with the Haitian government and signed our first landmark partnership with Human Concern International (HCI). Since then, we have grown from a relief team to a pillar of community development.
