Haiti's orphan crisis is one of the most severe in the Western Hemisphere. Decades of poverty, earthquakes, and political instability have left hundreds of thousands of children without parental care. ORDEPROGRESIA steps in where systems fail.

The 2010 earthquake alone orphaned approximately 300,000 children. Subsequent hurricanes, gang violence, and economic collapse have compounded the crisis. Many orphans end up in unregulated facilities with no education, medical care, or emotional support.
Over 60% of orphaned children in Haiti never complete primary school due to cost barriers and lack of guardians to advocate for them.
Without parental oversight, orphans suffer higher rates of malnutrition, untreated illness, and developmental delays.
Children without family support are disproportionately vulnerable to trafficking and forced labour — a documented crisis in Haiti.
Since 2010, we have operated out of Village Lumière in Gonaïves, providing a structured support system for orphaned children that addresses their physical, educational, and emotional needs holistically.
Clean, secure accommodation in our Village Lumière facility away from dangerous street conditions.
School fees, uniforms, books, and tutoring so every child can achieve their academic potential.
Counselling, mentorship, and a community of belonging that rebuilds confidence and hope.
Regular health screenings, vaccinations, and access to our mobile clinic for all supported children.
Your sponsorship does not disappear into overhead. We send updates and evidence of every programme we run.
